Spring Sephora Sale Picks

I wanted to keep this short and sweet because I don’t use a million products every day. I only use a few things, and these are the ones that I would purchase if I were out/short. Also- these are products that I regularly purchase at full price and would repurchase immediately if I ran out. That’s how I know they’re amazing.

You’ll notice I don’t have a ton of skin care on this list, and that’s because my skincare stapes aren’t available at Sephora. I love La Roche-Posay’s cleanser, and I’m glad it’s cheap because cleanser is just not something I’d shell out for anyways. I have tried so many vitamin C serums, but my favorites aren’t available at Sephora. For my retinol, I use Differin, which used to require a prescription but recently became OTC. For a good sunscreen, I turn to Elta MD or La Roche-Posay, and for my favorite moisturizer, I use Neutrogena Hydroboost. I use a thicker cream with my retinol at night, but I’m just using up odds and ends of samples I have.

For my Sephora favorites, I’ll share a bit about why I love each one.

I’ll start with the Charlotte Tilbury lip liner. The texture on this liner is so good, especially for over-lining your lips. I don’t put a gloss or balm over it because that sort of tends to make the over-lining a little more obvious.

The Olaplex No 3 is something I no longer need to use because I no longer bleach my hair, but when I used to get highlights with bleach, this was my absolute savior. I haven’t tried the other Olaplex products, but I’m sure they’re great. This product really helped revive the texture of my hair when it felt like straw after I had bleached it four or five times. It allowed me to stay sane and not cut eight inches off my hair before my wedding. I did cut off a lot of my hair after the wedding because the texture really drove me insane on weeks I didn’t use the Olaplex No 3. As an aside- I recommend not bleaching your hair if the highlights you want aren’t too much lighter than your hair color. It can be done with color alone.

The Hourglass Mineral Veil concealer is quite good! I like the coverage and the consistency. I find that the shade range is also quite good for medium skin tones like mine.

I haven’t actually used the PTR acne clearing gel but a lot of people I trust have recommended it. If my skin starts acting up this summer, that is the first product I will try. The influencers who recommend this product actually have struggled with acne, so I trust them. I recently started Differin, which I mentioned above, so I haven’t had to use anything else for acne recently, but again, this is on my list if my skin ever starts acting up.

I had the Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer a while back when this gorgeous gal at my university who always had glowing skin recommended it. I finished that product and I never re-purchased because after I started blogging and Instagramming, I would get sent a bunch of products by brands and that included highlighter type products. However, nothing I’ve used has actually come close to that first Josie Maran product, so I will be re-purchasing this during the sale.

I’m all stocked up on Nudestix foundation and blush because I bought a bunch of products before getting married last year, but this foundation is my absolute favorite for a no-makeup look. It’s very sheer, so it won’t give much coverage, but it’ll give you a natural dewy and flawless look if you get the right shade for you! I think this is my favorite foundation ever.

I recently bought a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick and I love it because I don’t have to get my fingers dirty when applying it. The color Sand Dune is a great natural looking shadow for me. They don’t crease too much on me, either. I’ve heard the Laura Mercier ones are great also, but I didn’t find a good natural looking color for me in their line of the caviar sticks.

I’ve been using this Lancome setting mist for a while and I have no complaints. I like it and will re-purchase when I run out. To be honest, I haven’t noticed much of a difference between setting sprays, and I feel like this is equally good as the Skindinavia and Urban Decay ones I’ve used.

Finally, the BTS liner is my all time fave and I am on my third pen. Each one lasts me more than six months. It would last even longer but I find that the color doesn’t come out as inky and dark when they get older. I’m pretty sure my first one lasted me a year. It’s the most smudge proof liner I’ve found, although I find that it sticks better when I don’t put on a ton of shadow or foundation on my eyelids- or anything that makes my lids oily, basically.
